How my journey began

Embodied Knowledge

I am an anthropologist (Ph.D.) and did fieldwork in Egypt and in Beirut. In my book “Living with Djinns”, I tried to make sense of the way people in Cairo lived with the spirits, and how this shaped their understanding of the body, health and illness, and ill fortune.

For 3 years I worked as a researcher at the French research center in Beirut (IFPO) and then one year as a professor at AUB. In 2008 I decided to leave the academic world behind.

Since that time, I only work with embodied knowledge. My passion in life is not just knowing from the mind, but feeling, experiencing, and living what inspires me.

Next Generation

I am very happy that several of my students have grown into beautiful inspiring beings that continue Wuji’s work in their own ways.

Nathalie Yared is assisting me in the introductory Taiji class. She is also patiently and dedicatedly teaching individual students in private classes.

Mireille Safar is teaching Qi Gong in her own beautiful personal way.

Joelle Kosremelli is using much of her Taiji tools for her magic sessions of sophrology.

Serge Yared is growing into a wonderful coach for a Daoist approach to detox

Jamil Azar inspires others in his deeply spiritual sessions of “Dialogues avec l’Ange”

Sharing

I believe that teaching and sharing is an essential ways to deepen and enrich your understanding.

Outside of classes and private sessions, I try to organize regular workshops and retreats where we work intensively around a specific theme.

We have been to Paros in Greece, to Amsterdam to practice with my master, Amien Ho, and to different places in Lebanon.

As a visiting master/healer, I have worked in Four Seasons Laanda in the Maldives and in Raffles Praslin in the Seychelles and also accompanied a family on a private retreat in Mallorca.

Dao

At age 14, my father gave me the inner chapters of Zhuang Tzu to read and in Daoism I have always found a philosophy that deeply resonates with me. Taiji, Qi Gong, and Shiatsu are just ways to embody it and share it with others.

I have been practicing Tai Ji Quan (barehand Tai Ji) and Tai Ji Jian (sword practice) for more than twenty years now.

After winning two bronze medals in the European Championship in 2010, I became a student of Kong Mien Ho who fully initiated me into the internal aspects of Tai Ji Quan and Qi Gong.

Through the years I never neglected my own daily practice of Taoist Alchemy through standing meditation and Taiji.

With this practice, my hands started to develop, and I learned to listen to the energy streams in the body. This is how I discovered the Japanese art of Shiatsu. Chris McAllister accompanied me into learning and developing these gifts further.
